Here are several links and an important email from the FCC that will allow broadcasters to reference many important details of the FCC filing windows to relocate FM Translators. The filing window exclusively for AM Station owners  is open now and will close forever on  October 31, 2016.

November 12 COMMENTS FROM PARUL P. DESAI, ATTORNEY-ADVISOR FCC AUDIO DIVISION MEDIA BUREAU

If you have not already heard, I am excited to inform you the FCC is taking measures to revitalize the AM broadcasting service!  More information regarding rule and policy changes to strengthen the AM service can be found at our AM Revitalization page: https://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/am-revitalization.

I especially want to draw your attention to the upcoming (sometime in early 2016) FM translator modification application windows that will vastly increase opportunities for AM stations to relocate FM translator stations.  … as the licensee of a AM station, you can file an application to relocate an FM translator station as soon as the first window opens.  It may be to your advantage to do so because applications will be processed under “first-come, first-served” procedures.

More information regarding eligibility, application processing, and construction and operational requirements can be found at https://apps.fcc.gov/edocs_public/Query.do?mode=advance&rpt=cond.  If you have any questions regarding the modification window, you can email them to AMmodification@fcc.gov.
